Peninsula High School – November 2, 2007

The turnout for the fall drive at Peninsula High School was fantastic. They far exceeded their goal by registering 113 donors. This is one of the largest drives ever at PHS. The energy level at the school throughout the day was extremely high. The drive was also advertised on the school radio station, which attracts adults from around the peninsula.

DECA again was the drive sponsor, under the direction of John Selfors. Due to the great leadership of Leah Fujita, DECA President, and Alisa Padilla, the drive was well organized and busy from beginning to end. This group is extremely dedicated and is well aware of the need for blood donors in our community. This need will only increase with St. Anthony’s Hospital opening in 2009. CRBS also supports patients who require transfusions at the MultiCare Gig Harbor Medical Park

Thanks for the great support. Schools provide about 25% of the blood supply in our community. Peninsula High School is a key part of that group. We are looking forward to our next drive and again working with this great group of students and staff at PHS.

Peninsula High School DECA Club students helped recruit 90 donors at their recent drive. The students went all out to decorate the school halls, which helped to motivate their classmates and faculty to donate! A great turn out right before the holidays, when donors are urgently needed. Thanks to the DECA Club and all of the students at PHS!
