Puyallup High School - November 8, 2007

Puyallup High School put together an extremely successful blood drive as their first drive of the 2007-2008 school year. On a goal of 65, 100 people registered to donate blood! Vital to the success of the blood drive was coordinator Jamie Mooring, a teacher at Puyallup High School, our sponsor, the Senior Leadership class, and Shelly Thomas, the student coordinator.

Puyallup High School conducts three blood drives a year. Each blood drive is an entirely separate project, assigned to a different student each time. Each drive is an opportunity for the student coordinator to build a strong and memorable relationship with members of the student body and to make a meaningful and significant contribution to our community.

The seniors at Puyallup High School conducted the largest blood drive in years at their school. They were able to exceed their goal by 35 people, a truly amazing accomplishment! Cascade Regional Blood Services wishes to congratulate all the students and faculty on their success. Their dedication and commitment is very important to Cascade Regional Blood Services, Good Samaritan, and our other community hospitals.

Jamie Mooring and the Leadership class at Puyallup High School conducted their last drive of the year on May 24th, registering 55 blood donors. Puyallup High School wants to beat the Rogers High School record of 153 donors at a blood drive next year. We know Puyallup High School students are capable of reaching amazing results. Special thank you, as always, to Emmanuel Lutheran Church who allows the blood drives to be conducted at their facility.
